Allen Brothers, which recently took the move to market its Holt Allen product range under the Allen brand, now has its Essex based warehouse fully stocked and orders are flowing in from around the world.
With Pro-Boat appointed as UK, Ireland and Channel Island distributor to chandleries for the range, and boatbuilders being able to purchase direct from Allen Brothers, the company is able to react more quickly to customer requirements, both for the existing range and new innovations.
Since setting up the new distribution arrangements at the beginning of the year, substantial orders have already been taken and fulfilled, from several of the UK’s leading boatbuilders and also from overseas marine companies, including those in France, Germany, Australia, Russia and Hong Kong.
Allen Brothers has made substantial investment in its warehousing and distribution facilities, as well as the continued investment in computer aided state of the art machinery and new product development. The Allen brand is one of the leading names in the design and manufacture of sailboat fittings, and is one of the few manufacturers that is able to produce its entire range in-house.
The company has over 50 years experience in the sailboat fittings market. There are few dinghies sailed in this country that don’t have an Allen fitting on board.
Managing Director Kim Allen said, ‘It has been our aim to make the transition for our customers as seamless as possible. The same range, same quality and the same team continue to be committed to creating innovative products for sailing enthusiasts around the world. Feedback from the industry is very positive. The industry seems to understand why it was necessary for us to protect our 50 year pedigree of innovation and quality production of marine fittings’.
