Description
60mm Pad Eye (Teardrop) High Roller Block
A high-performance block built for high-stakes sailing.
The 60mm High Roller Block range delivers exceptional performance for high-load, high-speed sailing applications. Built with caged roller (needle) bearings, the rollers remain evenly spaced to prevent contact between them—dramatically reducing friction and allowing for faster, smoother rotation under extreme loads.
To handle off-centre forces, captive Delrin side-load ball bearings are integrated into the sheave, offering additional friction reduction and making disassembly and servicing quick and effortless. The PEEK roller bearings provide outstanding strength and wear resistance, ensuring long-term reliability in demanding environments.
Pad Eye (Teardrop) blocks are well-suited to masthead use and other setups where a compact, low-movement connection is preferred. When paired with an appropriate padeye, they remain neatly positioned and won’t drop onto the deck when the line is unloaded, while still allowing enough movement to maintain smooth alignment under load.
They are also commonly used on permanent backstays for fractional rigs, where the backstay can be spliced directly onto the block for a clean and efficient setup.
Features:
- Caged PEEK roller bearings for ultra-low friction and fast rolling speeds
- Captive Delrin side-load ball bearings for smooth off-centre loading
- Easy to disassemble and service; replacement bearings available
- The teardrop shape lends itself to multiple applications
Available in custom anodised colours – please get in touch with us for more information. The standard block colour is black with a silver sheave.
