AutoRatchet 60 with Wave Sheave

The most effective way to increase friction is to add sharp edges to the ratchet sheave, but this quickly deteriorates and wears away the rope. After working alongside leading rope manufacturers, the Allen design team developed a simple solution that improves grip without damaging your expensive rope.

The Wave Sheave features an offset V-style grip, made from hard-wearing recycled nylon, without the sharp edges that can wear into the line. By slightly offsetting the V formation within the sheave, the ratchet grips the line at additional points around the sheave, resulting in significantly greater holding power.

The Wave Sheave not only improves grip but also provides a smoother, less "jumpy" feel when easing sheets.

The Wave Sheave offers 20% to 40%* more grip without adding any additional wear to the rope. For maximum performance, we recommend pairing this ratchet block with 7mm Excel Marstron Plus.

X2

The "X2" is our innovative double pawl system, designed to increase the longevity of the ratchet mechanism. Unlike conventional ratchet blocks, the X2 pawl system shares the load across two pawls within the mechanism. This results in a more durable and reliable ratcheting system capable of withstanding higher loads over a longer service life.

Swivel Lock

The swivel can be locked in 90-degree orientations using the small black swivel lock at the top of the block. Alternatively, the swivel can be set to spin freely.

Trigger Load

The AutoRatchet mechanism is designed to engage at 10kg with a line wrap of 180 degrees around the sheave.
