You may have recently found yourself searching for replacement parts after a well-known manufacturer of marine hardware ceased trading. Whether you’re looking to restock essential fittings or replace worn-out components, Allen has you covered.
As a UK-based manufacturer with decades of experience in high-performance sailing hardware, we’ve been producing innovative and reliable products that sailors trust. Many of our existing products serve as direct replacements for those you may have sourced elsewhere, but with improved designs and materials to ensure better performance and durability.
To help you find the right solution, we’ve highlighted some of our key products below. These items offer the same functionality as those that have recently disappeared from the market but with enhancements to ensure long-lasting quality.
If you need a dependable replacement, take a look below to discover just some of the items Allen can help with to keep your boats and business running smoothly.
Tiller Flexi-Joint (A5198)
Also known as an Omniflex, Omnijoint, or Universal Joint, our Flexi-Joint is a durable tiller connector made from high-quality rubber. It offers full articulation, ensuring smooth, precise steering. The secure click-in top cover allows for easy removal when needed.
Our plastic ball stoppers recently underwent a redesign. The internal spacing has been revised to ensure larger knots can securely fit inside without protruding. Our ball stoppers are available in eight colours and five sizes and are perfect for securing ropes or shock cords. Made from UV-stable plastic, they’re built to last.
This threaded hatch cover includes an integral watertight seal, which can be replaced when worn. They are super easy to open and close with one hand and come in a variety of sizes and colours to suit a wider range of applications.
We offer a wide range of deck bushes, also known as a through-deck fairlead. In most applications, a deck bush is used to guide rope or wire through a surface, such as the deck of a boat. The deck bush protects the surface it is fitted to, stopping the rope or wire from rubbing and cutting through the surface. Available with a Stainless-Steel insert to offer a longer-lasting protection.
Our stainless steel swivel connector is designed for small boat jib furling systems. Compact and lightweight, it allows for smooth rotation, reducing halyard twist while handling up to 400kg working load. Its corrosion-resistant construction ensures long-lasting performance.
Plastic fairleads are commonplace on most boats. They are used to lead low-loaded rope, usually along the deck, to another fitting. They can also be used as a turning point for dinghy jib sheets or elastic take-up lines. Our fairleads are UV-stable and long-lasting. Some variations are available with a stainless steel insert to reduce friction and increase durability.
